Platform-as-a-service opens new markets for Advania

With the introduction of the rapid application development platform, Progress® Rollbase®, Advania now offers for the first time in Sweden a complete PaaS-development and deployment environment as a single, integrated service to its existing and future customers and ISVs.

Part of the Progress® Pacific™ platform, developed by the global software company Progress Software, the cloud service now also offered by Advania makes the development and deployment of next-generation cloud-based applications easier and with faster time-to-market. Also as part of this solution, Advania provides infrastructure based on hardware from HP.

-  Through several global and regional initiatives, such as the HP Helion Network, Cloud28+, and the HP PartnerOne for Service Provider Program, HP brings together leading Service Providers and ISVs, of which Advania and Progress Software are great examples. This results in a broad range of enterprise cloud services, says Gilles Thiebaut, Vice President, Enterprise Group Indirect Sales EMEA, HP.

This new partnership between Advania, Progress and HP opens a myriad of possibilities for local businesses to quickly and easily create customized applications in the cloud, with lower IT costs and complexity and higher security. For Advania, this also means opportunities to offer something completely new to its ISV and enterprise customers on the Swedish market.

HP - Progress - Advania Solution

The Progress - Advania - HP Solution

- We are proud to be the only Swedish company to offer the Progress Rollbase rapid application development platform to new and existing customers. It is a powerful, scalable and cost effective platform where all data is stored within the borders of Sweden, which is a great advantage. We do this in collaboration with two highly reputable players, says Henrik Danielson, Partner Manager at Advania.

- With the rapid evolution of application development and its impact on the enterprise, many businesses are assessing opportunities offered by the next wave of cloud technology. With this in mind, together with HP we worked to implement our RAD platform, Rollbase, part of Progress Pacific, in the Helion cloud architecture to enable businesses to use a single app dev platform to quickly and simply implement cloud-based apps. In addition, through our trusted partnership with Advania, for the first time ISVs and enterprises in Sweden can enjoy up to 55 percent faster application development cycles and shift focus away from the burdensome task of managing cloud infrastructures. Now, they can concentrate on what really matters—developing and deploying applications with higher security and lower costs, says Mark Armstrong, vice president and managing director EMEA at Progress Software.
