This week, we took an important step in strengthening our cybersecurity offering by becoming part of the CMMC Ecosystem. As a Registered Practitioner Organization (RPO), we are now officially recognised to help businesses navigate and comply with the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) – the security framework required by the U.S. Department of Defense for its suppliers.

What is CMMC?

CMMC (Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification) is a framework established by the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) to ensure that suppliers handle sensitive information securely. More than 250,000 companies worldwide are affected by these requirements.

Why does CMMC matter for Swedish companies?

The U.S. Department of Defense has an allocated budget of nearly $900 billion for 2025, with a significant portion directed toward the defense industry – including Swedish companies. To remain a trusted supplier, businesses must now meet CMMC security requirements.

What does it mean to be a Registered Practitioner Organization?

In the U.S., many companies claim to offer CMMC-related services, but not all meet the necessary expertise and accountability standards. To ensure quality, the DoD has tasked Cyber AB with identifying and listing reliable advisors.

As a Registered Practitioner Organization (RPO), Advania is now officially authorized to provide CMMC advisory and implementation services. Our registration confirms that we have undergone a rigorous review process and meet high standards of competence and integrity. You can find us listed at Cyber AB, the official accreditation body for CMMC.

Next steps – Raising awareness in 2025
